Celebrity Fan Letter

Create a letter to a celebrity that you admire. Find the celebrity's mailing address. Look for the address using your Internet skills. Look at multiple sites to verify the best address to use. A site you may want to use: http://www.fanmail.biz/ 

Open your personal letterhead. Type the date. Continue typing the remainder of the letter in correct business letter format.

1st paragraph: Tell the celebrity who you are (not your name) and why you are writing. Also let the person know that you will receive extra credit if they respond to your letter.

2nd paragraph: What do you like best about the celebrity's work? Has the person inspired you in any way? Why did you choose to write to this person?

3rd paragraph: Thank the celebrity for reading the letter and ask for a reply. Restate that a reply receives extra credit.

This is simply a draft...you will be submitting for review for 20 points.

Next class the final letter, printed in color and signed with an envelope: 15 points.  10 points, envelope, 5 points final letter. (January 15/16)
