You are about to create the most important document of the year. This is a document you will use when you look for a summer job and/or ask a teacher for a letter of recommendation.
First we will discuss parts of a resume and content for each part. You will find this worksheet in the share folder - 119 Blake - Word Processing - Resume Ideas (30 pts. for full credit you must make an attempt to fill in all parts as discussed in class.)
Second we will use an online resume generator to create your own. (Save in your folder and print and hand in for 20 pts.)
Additional - Word offers many templates under "Resumes and CVs." Take some time to look at what's available. Share this with your parents. Included among these templates are also sample cover letter and reference sheets. A lot of these resumes are geared to those who've attained further education. Choose one of the following resume templates (look in the Basic Resume folder):
- Essential Design
- Black Tie Design
- Equity Theme
- Executive Theme
- Urban Theme
