Internet Research and Crossword Puzzle Project

Below are 23 terms you must know if you are to be Internet savy. Review these terms:

12. Bookmark
13. Domain Name
14. E-commerce
15. Firewall

19. Newsgroup
20. Phishing
21. URL
22. Wiki
23. WWW

Your task:

1. Choose 15 of the 23 terms listed above. 
2. You must use http://www.techterms.com/ to find the definitions.
3. Define each term. You may write this down or key into Word. 
4. Go to the Crossword Puzzle Maker link by clicking here and launch that web site. 
5. Create a crossword puzzle using the terms and definitions. Be sure to put your name under "Author's name." 
6. Print two copies...leave one blank. Complete the other one to make sure your crossword is correct. Submit both. (this can't be saved so must print within the same block you create it.)

Grading:

1. Completed definitions: 15 points
2. Puzzle Creation: 10 points
3. After the crossword puzzles are handed in and graded, you will be asked to complete a crossword puzzle of a classmates to reviews the terms. 
4. Completed classmate's puzzle: 25 points.
